🚆 Suburban railway (Proastiakos)
The suburban line links the airport with Piraeus via Metamorfosi (up to ~1 train per hour). We could not verify a convenient Kifisia stop — for Kifisia use metro Line 1 or the bus/taxi options below. Dionysos residents use the Agios Stefanos railway station.

🚗 By car
- Kifisia is ~14–16 km from central Athens; ~15–20 min with no traffic, but Kifisias Avenue is heavily congested — a Marousi–centre trip was reported at 1 h 40 vs ~30 min normally.
- Central parking is hard; drive to a park-and-ride instead. Metro park-and-rides include Doukissis Plakentias (630 spaces), Nomismatokopio (604), Chalandri (280), Syngrou–Fix (642), Kerameikos (270), Agia Marina (383). From the north, Doukissis Plakentias (Line 3) is the closest.
- For the city days, the metro is usually easier than driving with 9 people.

✈️ Airport (ATH) → Kifisia
| Option | Price (approx.) | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked minivan / minibus | Get quotes | ~30–60 min | ⭐ Best for 9 people + luggage + child seats |
| Taxi | ~€45–50 day; ~€65–82 night (varies by provider) | ~30–60 min | Standard taxi ≈4 passengers → 3 cars. The flat airport–centre fare (€50/€65 since Sept 2026 per recent reports; older sources €40/€55) covers the centre, not Kifisia. |
| Bus X93 (to Kifisos bus station) | €5.50 | ~65 min | Search results suggested X93 for Kifisia, but X93 actually goes to the Kifisos/Liosion intercity bus stations, not Kifisia — not recommended. |
| Metro Line 3 + Line 1 | €9 airport ticket | ~1 h+ (change at Monastiraki) | Possible with light luggage; Line 3 every ~30–36 min. |

🚐 Car rental for 9 + child seats
- Options: a 9-seat minibus, or a 7-seater + small car. 9 people + child seats + luggage rarely fit one van. Verify the licence category for 9 seats and insurance.
- From a northern base a car is far more useful than in the centre (Tatoi, Parnitha, Marathon, Schinias are car-only or nearly so).
- Child seats are law: under 12 or under 135 cm need an approved restraint; pre-book exact types or bring boosters. Taxis are exempt.
